    Vxr turbo, turbo technics upgrade..info

    I just thought id let you all know, My vxr turbo has just come back from Turbo Technics for a warrenty claim the seals went after about 2 weeks when i was running a full milltex system with sports cats.

    I only went for the 360 bearing but the guy from TTs said because of lack of back pressure you really need twin oils seals or else the seals will give < as they did after 2 weeks on a brand new turbo >.

    So they have put twin oil seals in the turbo for me for free which im happy about..

    Anyway he also told me the price is soon to go up for the upgrade of a 360 bearing and twin oil seals from £145+ vat to £225+ vat, So be quick and get yours sent off for the cheaper price.

    These vxr turbos are a real pain.
    Vxr turbo with 360 bearing and twin oils seals & Evoms dv. Cdti airbox 63mm tophat.Milltex cat back and pre cat.. Regal 245 leh phase 1 ipf remap.Whiteline rarb.

    Alternatively go to Turbo Dynamics .

    They don't do the twin seals as it is a crap fix.

    Also that is a pretty big price increase.

    My dealings with TT have certainly not inspired confidence.

    i thought turbo's didnt rely on back pressure?????

    TT have my turbo at mo doign seals and bearing, get it back tomorrow

    heck of a price increase,maybe they getting too many returns and upping price to reflect this.

    Well all i know it that its been a pain in the backside with oil smelling in the Astra after 2 weeks of fitting the turbo which was brand new...

    So with twin seals now 360 bearing and these little items below hopefully my turbo problems will be over....
    Evoms diverter valve.



    Oil restrictor bolt last one that Regal had.

    Cant believe they charge £30 for a banjo bolt!!! But I guess if people are silly enough to pay for them then....

    Well mate im not " silly " but i dont mind paying for something that might help the life of my turbo it prob wont work but you never know...

    be intrested to see if this bolt didnt make a difference if u could make a claim on regal

    I wasn't questioning whether it will work or not simply stating paying £30 for a bolt is pretty excessive.
