Here's the Turboshed running on 15" steel wheels. They are or where the spare wheels that came with Mk3's and Tigra's that had alloy wheels when new. I got these from a scrap yard. Most often have new or nearly new Michelin tyres on them and have seen very little use, if you're lucky

to be honest i miss the ride i had on my steelies. When i put alloys on it felt terrible. 15" steelies and the car felt like a go-kart lol

Back on point, my mate painted his motors steels hammerite black lol

i know where your coming from about the ride, been on my 15s for about 2weeks now and its soooo much more comfy than 17s.....just doesnt look as nice.

got a pic of the wheels done with hammerite? that would cost alot less than spraying thats for sure!

    Thanks matey!
Thought your wheel looks rather cool, almost like a jap tuner type of wheel now with the green banding

I don't have any pics but my mates done his in White. They look ok considering there for the winter.
A good tip for painting ur steelies is to get a pack if cards and place them around the steelie in the joint. Stops all the paint going on the tyre

good idea i never thought of that i just masked on the edge of the tyre lol and i seen a red corsa with steelies painted white. the looked bigger than standard aswell so maybe astra ones if they'd fit with lower profile tyres?? either way it looked good though
