You can tell by what wires are in pins 25 and 31. Do a search and i've said time and time again what wires in pin 31 when the car has esp

i did searches to find out if my car has esp and nothing came up.all i wanted to know if the car had just tc or tc and esp.i got this from courtenay sport

to connect up the signal wire you need to know if your car has ESP and TC or just TC.if your unsure it can be checked with Tech2.i dont have tech2 thats why ive asked the question so i dont need my head bitten off when i ask for some help

    thanks for your help

If you feel i've bitten your head off feel free to use the report post button

Every time i've wired one of these buttons in i've done all the inside then taken the wire to the ABS ecu, stripped the plug down and looked at what wires there. If there's a grey/yellow wire in pin 31 then your car has esp so you go to pin 25. If there's nothing in pin 31 then you don;t have ESP

All taken from THIS thread which was found by searching for traction control.........

Below is a pic of a Mk4 with ESP. notice the size of the plastic trim that the red arrow points too.its larger than normal as it covers the YAW sensor for ESP. if the car doesn't have ESP the plastic trim will be much smaller as the car has no YAW sensor.

No problem The pic belongs to SRI-T Keithy i hope he doesnt mind me using it.
the red circle is where the loom from the YAW sensor joins the dash loom.there's a small lump in the carpet.
