    poor Regal service?

    I've sent Regal an email last Friday to order a few parts (I don't have a credit card, so didn't order via the webshop), but untill now I still don't have any response from them.

    Is their service so poor or don't they want to make any profit anymore...?

    As with a lot of companies they will get an untold number of email enquiries everyday, best bet is to phone them 02380 558 636

    100% call them is the better option - 1000's of emails a week of people that have no intention to buy makes it hard to reply to all when you have customers calling and or standing in front of you.

    Its not right but its simple economics.

    £18k a year to employ someone just answer emails all week, and it would be doubtfull they would see anything like that in return from the emails especially when they have an online shop

    Well I need Regal for the EVOMS dumpvalve, can't find it elsewhere. I usually order at Courtenay and they do reply within 24hours or so.

    I'll give them a call tomorrow.

    Here's an answer i gave from when another user had the same issues with LMF, and i contacted them to ask why, i'm sure Regal are the same.

    I have contacted Steve (i phoned him) to let him know about this thread.

    As already said on here, he realises the problem with e-mail, but it comes 2nd to someone waiting on the phone.

    He's not going to remove the e-mail system, as it is useful but not the priority in his sales.

    Then he does have the problem of vague information.

    He read one out to me.

    No name and No clue what engine it is to fit.

    How can he respond to that?

    I realise the frustration on not getting a reply, but if you want a quick answer by talking to someone, it'll be alot quicker than them seeing it in an in box, finding the information and typing it back.

    At the time of ringing he had 72 e-mails to read. He recons at best he'll get 5-10 sales from that. However out of 72 phone calls he'll get 60+ sales.

    As a businessman which would you concentrate on.......
    As already said, Ring, i've delt with Regal in the past, and they bent over backwards to help me.

    Well I work for a comapny that gets a lot of emails and phone orders and you have to treat them all the same doesnt matter what you should concentrate on business is business and if he cant keep up with emails then he should take someone one to do it just like we do, I find regal to have poor service, great if your buying somthing they have all the time in the world but if you need to send something back because its faulty upon delivery then they dont want to know and take ages to give you a refund, alot of other people are very happy and they cant please everyone but I wont buy off them again unless I have to.

    exactly right, that one email could generate a lot of business whereby that one phone call could be just an enquiry

    If you are serious you will call its as simple as that the small percentage of people that dont have the abilty to call in working hours or the weekend and can only email is so small its not worth worrying about.

    Some of you obviously dont own your business. These companies are not big massive companies they are small and run with only a handfull of staff.


    If you dont like it go else where - simple really.
