Best Speaker wire and amp settings

just installed my infinity kappa components and they sound crap the wire with the kit is really thin and nasty.

wierd up to my head unit they sound good but wierd up to the amp the sound worse.

So i ask whats the best speaker wire to get and from where and what settings should my amp be on.

Also does anybody no how to get the new speaker wire into the front doors.

if they sound alright coming straight off the head unit and crap from the amp, you might wanna check the RCAs. That's where the money should be spent really

What about the earth for the AMP? Is this making good contact to the metal of the chassis? I found on my setup that the poor ground made my speakers sound very bright, I also noticed a difference I soldered all the connections instead of using adapters and connecting blocks, then with MDF speakers rings a big improvement again compared to the plastic ones.

Should tell you in your amp manual, on my amp it said turn the Headunit to 75% volume, then adjust the gain until it distorts, then turn it back down a bit until it is fine, not sure if its the same on all amps though.
