    keeping red vxr red lol

    hi all, i have just bought a astra vxr upgraded from gsi....now i usualy wash it 1st with triple wax......and wash and dry....and then i use auto glym polish and buff it up using microfiber cloths and then use hight definition wax if i do what i normally did with my gsi will it keep it red? thanx

    Should do, Have a look in the guides though mate lots of info on better and colour specific products.

    That should keep it looking fresh. If you get yourself some Megs NXT wash though, you won't have to polish and wax it every time, just dry and quick detail it.

    Also, after washing it, clay the car, then polish and wax and it'll look a million dollars.

    Seriously I really like red cars, as long as you wax 3 or 4 times a year it will stay red. The ones that go pink can be corrected as long as they are not really bad. Seen some good detailing threads on pink vauxhalls and its amazing what they can achieve with a machine polish.

    You don't even need to wax it 3 or 4 times a year. Mine gets waxed twice a year, I just build up enough coats to keep it protected. Winter protection detail should be coming soon.

    for a lasting shine to keep your red paint shiny and glossy i would recommend some collonite 476 its the most long lasting and durable wax i have used. 3 layers of this stuff will last longer than 6 months and i always give another 3 coats of this before the winter sets in.
