Following on from this thread please could you post pictures of coupe rear bumpers with reverse sensors fitted, please state if its factory for self fitted.
I put them in the little black strip at the bottem just abuv the e pipe.
They was ony £20 from maplin.
Just make sure if you do put them ther that the bumper won't set them off cos the black strip is resest in to the bumper.
( sorry for spelling in me iPod touch)
As promised here are pics...
I bought this kit for £17 off ebay, works a treat, delivered quickly, they have good feedback too.
the kit even came with the right size drill bit!
if you go ahead with it and need any advice just give me a shout!!
thanks for pics and the advice, i will let you know
How well do they work down there?
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...
I've just fitted some on Thursday in the same space as Olster888, but a bit more spread out. Mine was a Cobra kit, and said the minimum distance between sensors should be 400mm, think mine are about 440mm'ish apart. Looks factory and works very well. With them being low they pick up kerbs, but that's a bonus tbh, and they also cover the corners of the bumper, which I wasn't sure if they would.
I'll try and get a picture up tomorrow!
^^^^^^ that would be good
Sorry about the poor pics, its dark outside now and the cars in the garage:
When I bought the car the back bumper had been painted and the black strip not refitted, so I had a local sign writers cut me some matt black vynal to the right height so I could fit it myself, then painted the sensors with a matt laquer - looks brilliant in the flesh. The sensors arent really noticable at all!!
Problem is I've got to do it all over again!! I have a new rear bumper on the way with Irmy corners on, as this ones cracked and badly painted!!
I'll get some better pictures next time I'm out in it.
