    vxr afm and injectors

    im running a stage 3.5 regal remap and i want to fit a set of vxr injectors and afm.does the car have to get remapped again ??

    yes........ i thought 3.5 was vxr injectors though

    i dont know but ive got paperwork from regal saying the 3.5 remap has been used but i dont have anything showing they have use vxr injectors/afm.so i thought i better ask you guys first.i might give regal a call and see if anything else has been done to the car that i dont know about

    right ive just had a look at the paperwork and yep 80mm pipes and afm and injectors was fitted but i dont know what make as the last owner must of bought them from some where else but regal fitted them all along with the 3.5 map

    well if regal did it, then u have both vxr afm and injectors
    In order to progress beyond Phase 3 power there are two main restrictions that have to be dealt with:

    - the stock air flow meter
    - the stock injectors

    Changing the air flow meter to a larger 80mm item has a knock on effect on the stock injectors, when the air flow restriction is removed the stock injectors begin to reach the end of thier comfortable fuelling limit.

    For this reason in Phase 3.5 a larger 80mm VXR air flow meter and larger VXR injectors are used in conjunction with Regal/EDS Phase 3.5 software to recalibrate the ECU to the new hardware.
