    HID's and projectors

    Hi,

I did a quick search of the forum but couldn't find what I wanted.

I have bought an HID conversion kit, and I am looking to buy some projector headlamps (I have read the DFT website and normal reflectors are not allowed, in short).

When i fit these will the manual adjustment motor still work with them?

the hids are just an uprated bulb in effect, if you have got electric adjusters then they will still work as normal.

    Depends what 'projectors' you get.

If they are Vauxhall 'shark eyes' then yes.

If they are angel eyes then some will some wont (FK's do).

I see. I was looking at these:

What part of the lights actually gets adjusted? Is it the reflectors?

If you look at the round bit of the lights you can see they have a gap.

Its that bit that adjusts. Not sure if they allow for fitting of the electric adjuster or not.

    Maybe ring and ask.

Phoned and asked, does not allow for the adjuster. Maybe there is a way to fashion them on. Think I'll have a look and see what can be done.

I'm looking at getting the black ones. I have a silver astra, and I recently back'd to black'd all my skirts and door protectors and the rear lights are already slightly tinted.
