Engine is a 1999 1.4 16V 60,000 miles:
Can anyone give me some info on a possible head gasket failure or not! No contamination in the oil, i.e. cream, engine was missing a bit on start-up but clears after a while and runs fine. Engine not over heating, but occasion bubbles coming out the expansion coolant. Seems to be white smoke coming out the exhaust, is this normal? i.e. the cat converter. Checked all the spark plugs which were new about 2000 miles ago, and no. 4 spark plug was a darker colour than the other 3, could it be a coil pack failure, or is it water in that cylinder?
There is some water leaking from the cam belt cover but only a tiny amount. The water pump was changed 3000 miles ago.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated, and has anyone come across the same or similar problem please shout!!
