Astra T9 estate for sale, see my ebay link!
BEST can cover such a wide variety of things
what do u want from a tyre
how much is ur budget
what kinda driving do u do
how much driving do u do
blah blah blah blah
also do you want it to be great in the dry, wet or a happy medium?
imo (please dont take as gospel)
Dry yoko parada spec 2, but these are very soft and not the best in the wet.
Wet Uniroyal rain sports, great in the wet (hence the name lol) also good in teh dry but can be overheated if pushed hard.
middle of the road Toyo t1r, i use these as for budget, life, perfomance wet and dry they seem to fit the bill well. ( i dont like being on a budget).
i would leave Pirelli well alone. i had some on my cav turbo and i was ripping chunks off them with 260 bhp!!! they just arnt strong enough.
never tried conti's or vredisteins. i find michelin to hard a compound and does not excel in anything other than life.
Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship. Car 21, pug 106 GTI. Gone from track days to full on racing
Dry Performance vs. Wet Performance
Ever going to see track time
Best tyres for dry performance, Michelin slicks...Not so good in the wet though, won't last long and the cops might not appreciate you using them on the road either...Bit more info needed...
I always use the Goodyear F1 Eagles 215/40 R17 as they seem to work very well in wet and dry! couldnt comment on any other tyre!
best palce to get tyres from?
my 888 coupe auto bio http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=235548
Camskill are always good on price
I loved the Uniroyal Rainsport 2s on mine but the bad camber and 240 ish ponies is not a good combination
My next tyre of choice is gonna be the Vredesteins but cant stretch to them at the mo
Dont discount ur local tyre places tho - mine can often get very close to Camskill's prices and fitting is included in the price which makes it more of a no-brainer
