    Scuffing since i changed wheels

I have just bought new wheels for my car and the only difference is the profile is 45 now when it used to be 40. its scuffing slightly but only on the back, drivers side seems to be worse.

    Any way of curing this??????

put 40 profile tyres on it. it scuffing on the inside or outside? if inside put a set of 5mm spacers on the hub. if outside its down to the wheel offset and their aint much you can do other than have the wheels machined out

I thought that the 45 would be the problem, such a shame as the tyres are brand new with the wheels. Its just the outside thats scuffing, its not really that bad but its enough to annoy me, Reminds me of my cut spring days on my nova with 17's on it lol

if their not vaux rims the offset wont be perfect. 40 profiles probs will solve it but if it dosent it will be new rims.

Ok your offset is ET42, so should be no rubbing on 40 profile tyres!

You could always sell the 45 profile tyres on, or if they are brand new a tyre place may take them off you? Possibly not, but worth a shot.

To save costs you could just change the two that are rubbing.
