    Master cylinder help!!

Hello all, I have just got myself a w reg Astra Van of Ebay!!! it has a few jobs that will need sorted for m.o.t but it was listed on Ebay as spares or repair as it has no brakes, i think it will need a master cylinder so im going to take 1 with me when i go to collect it, as i want to drive it home. can anyone tell me is it just 4 brake pipes a clutch pipe and 2 nuts?? to remove it?? and how much room will there be around it?? also are all astra master cylinders the same from 1998-2004 accross the range?

There are a number of master cylinders across the range, some very similar but different. The best way to identify which is which is usually a couple of letters stamped on the unit itself. Ask the seller to tell you what is on the old 1 and that way you can buy the right 1. Failing that, sometimes dealers / part factors can identify them using the reg no. Best of luck!
