Sometimes the astra won't start, but starts when jumpstaring it!

Have got a problem, it have happend maybe 5-6 times.
The astra won't start if I try to start it in normal way, but if I jumpstart it, it starts right away!

Can smell petrol if i have tried to start it a littlebit with my key..
I don't have ignition then, when trying to start it at the normal way..

BUT why will it start when i jumpstart it down a hill??

The starter goes like it should..
But i don't get ignition at the plugs when this happends, but as i said, if i jumpstart it, it starts right away and works fine..

Happend just when i maked the post here, when jumpstart it, did go the store to get some pizza, and driving home, no problems now..

Put a VOltmeter across the battery and see whta you are getting, a 12v battery should have 14.4 volts +/- across it.

have you tried the coilpack? maybe borrow one to test it? is it bringing up any faultcodes on the pedal test?
