    iphone mobile internet..

    i was recently given an iphone 2g. im on orange so had the phone unlocked and every function works fine apart from the 2g internet connection.. anyone got any idea how to do it or if it can be done? orange wont help me on the phone cos they dont sell the phone yet...

    You need to change the access settings.

    Settings > General > Network > Edge.

    enter these settings:
    Operator: - Orange UK
    GPRS APN: - orangeinternet
    Username: - {blank}
    Password: - {blank}
    DNS: - 158.43.192.1, 158.143.128.1

    cheers mate, but when i get into network i only have the choices, celular data network, data roaming, vpn, and wifi i dont have a selection for edge...any ideas?? cheers

    Click on Cellular data network. Enter the settings above.
    enter them in the cellular data part, should be the first thing you see.

    I have an iphone 3g, so mine prob looks slightly different.
