    Good places to visit

Tangy and I are taking another pilgrimage home to the West Coast Friday night, for a week.

Does anyone know of any good places we can take the kids out for day trips while we are there? We have already done museums in Glasgow, Sea life sanctuary in Oban, Blair Drummond Safari Park and some other places, so looking for some fresh ideas.

    Can anyone help?

We didn't think much to Edinburgh Zoo when we went last year. Their didn't seem to be many animals there to be honest.

Chester Zoo was much better IMO.

Edinburgh Zoo is on the east coast anyway

what kind of activities are you after? Ever thought about things like National Trust Castles/Homes? What about places of interest.. like Grunyard bay and the island off the shore? Loch Ness? Ullapool, Gairloch etc.

We thought this place was good if your kids like animals etc

More central though than west coast.
