    Lights Dim then brighten when i pull off

    Hi, i am hoping someone will be able to help me with a problem that is driving me crazy, i have a Zafira 1.6 51 plate and every time i pull off from a junction with the lights on, when the cluch meets its biting point the lights very quickly dim then brighten again, i have also noticed it happen a few times when i am driving and touch my brakes. i have checked the alternator and it's ok, it has also had a new battery

    Please help me !

    bad earth?? try another earth to the alt or block or battery

    ok so thats been deleted grrr!!! yeah I said bad earth orrr get your battery checked at halfrauds I think they do it for free =D... I still would of guessed the alternator if you didn't say you already checked that

    Thanks i will try my earths, if any one else has any other ideas though please let me know. vauxhall want £63 + vat per hour just to look at it

    how dim do they go just out of interest? I came home from work not long ago and pulled up to the car infront to park and just pulled forward on the clutch (not pressing accelerator) *waits for peoples tuts :/ * anyway my lights dimmed a bit... If it's only a little I think it's normal, but it shouldn't do it if your revving the engine obviously

    its slmost like your driving along with whe windows already done up and pressing the window up button. its sometimes when you touch the brake pedal too

    I wouldn't be too worried tbh mate, (IMO), probably a dodgy earth or something. Do you have an amp and sub fitted?
