    SRI 170-200 difference

Hi! Does anyone know if the difference between the 170PS and the 200PS models is just an ECU map? Or is there more to it than that.

Bear in mind the 170ps runs a weaker clutch.

So if I could pick up an ecu of a 200PS model it would be plug and play? On the clutch front just rang my local auto factors and they list the same clutch for both cars? I'm not heavy on clutches anyway so it wouldn't worry me.

Different engine codes but they are exactly the same engine, they are also identical to the Z20LET.

Exactly, very easy to get more than the VXR's 240 bhp out of these, in theory 300bhp would be possible, but the clutch will be left on the floor behind you after 1 full blown start!

Hmm. I'm only after 200PS though, and as I said earlier my local auto factors lists one clutch for both models? Found out I'd need a full ECU kit, ECU, key transponders and alarm transponder. They are available on E-Bay for £225. Sounds cheaper than a remap!!

hello, i'm thinking of getting my 170 remapped instead of changing the ecu and been told i could get up to 35% more bhp with the map

And the cost of the re-map....£4-500? add in the cost of a precat-decat pipe £110? total cost £600...
