    AFM Troubles

Hey guys, brought an AFM about 3 months ago as i was told by courtenays that my old one was faulty, but then i kept getting the dreeded 0100 code on the pedel test so i went to courtenays about a week ago and brought a new one! BUT randomly its keeps on popping up with the tc light and then spanner light and the revs dip and the engine almost dies! The code that keeps reappearing is 0100 and ive reset the ecu since and its still appears. Its not all that often but its only when i give my car some s**t that it happens! anyone got any tips or tricks? P.S i did use an apexi cone but now since new afm use the 2.2 box with courtenay pannel.

the only thing ive done with the afm is extended the wires for the 2.2 setup which im gonna rewire just incase! would a faulty wheel hub sensor cause the 0100 code and the engine to almost cut out for a second?? cheers

That's what I'd do if I were you.....mind you I should take head of my own advice and check my car as it's not running to great and inconsistently
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

I regularly have AFM problems ... it's always confused me how a problem with the AFM, 0100, switches on the TC light when its not that at fault.

I have read that oiled panel/cone filters can mess up the AFM, if your AFM's keep playing up, might be worth trying a VX OE filter to see how you get on.
