    Post Air Con Condenser question

    Hi Guy's,

I'm new to the Astra MK5. My car has just had it's 3rd year service and MOT and when I collected it today I was told that a new Condenser had been fitted.

I've had the car for a few months and the air con seemed to be working fine so I have a couple of questions:

Can anyone advise me on how to tell if a new condenser has been fitted? (Where to look for it)

Also should the system have been regassed after the condenser was fitted?

    Welcome mate

The condenser is at the front of the car. With the bonnet open you will see the cooling radiator at the front and then in front of that will be the condensor. Hopefully you can tell if it looks new or now

Replacing this would mean the AC needs to be discharged first then recharged after

    Thanks for the reply Autosparks.

I'll have a check tomorrow. There is nothing on the invoice for the regassing. I'll give them a call and see what they say.
