    HELP!! removing mk4 standard sideskirts

    how do you remove the standard side skirts on a mk4? its a 5 door
    ive read that you need to push in the clip things but can anyone give me a bit of help?

    hi m8,

    All you need to do is jack up the car, go along underneath and just poke out all the little plastic rivets, think theres 6 on each side, then take out the srews at either end in the wheel arches, then slide the side skirt off, just pull it if its stuck. then go your vx dealer and got all new clips and rivets for a proper job whole lot only costs around £8!!

    do you mean pull the rivets out? or push them into the side skirt? this is the only bit i dont understand

    Yeah same as what Elmo has stated, on the underside of the skirts youll see 7 "rivets". Each of these "rivets" has a small section in the middle which you simply push in with a small screwdriver. Do this for all of the rivets, and then Slide the skirts to the rear (i think). Here's a link with a bit more detail :
