golf gt tdi 130 - too expensive?

I've seen a silver mk4 golf gt tdi 130bhp for sale at a garage and it's got me interested.

    It's a 5 door 2002 on a 52 plate, but it's up for £6995!

Expensive for a 7 year old car, BUT its only done 38k miles and is absolutely mint with FSH etc

Comes with some factory fitted extras like rear parking sensors, cruise control, 6 cd multichanger, climate control (was probably standard on the gt-tdi).

Both interior and exterior are in cracking condition, but is it worth £6995 for a 7 year old golf?

    Your opinions will be welcome

i'm not too keen on the tdi 150, heard there can be a few problems with them, so sticking with the 130bhp as the best compromise.

I will be paying cash, so i was thinking the garage would surely knock down the price bearing in mind they wont be stuck with a part ex from me.

What price do you reckon would be fair for this golf then?

I've been looking at GT-TDi 130's and they do seem to be holding their money. I wouldn't spend £7k on a 3 year old car, let alone a 7 year old one ATM.

I've also looked at the GT TDi 115's as they can be picked up for £1800-£2500 on a 52-53 plate, and then mapped to beyond the performance of the 130 for less than £250
    NOW - Sapphire Black 3dr Astra G

    THEN - Glacier White 2.0Di Estate - 136bhp 1.6 Pineapple Yellow Mk3 - Flame Red 2.0Di Van - Chianti Red 1.8 Coupe - Star Silver 2.2 Zafira - Flame Red 2.2 Linea Rossa Coupe - Titan Gold 1.8 Coupe

9 Years, 7 Astras, 1 Zafira, No Regrets.
