what happened was i drove the car home last night the traction light light up and stayed on then about 2 secs after the engine light started to flash for around 5 secs and switched off but the traction light stayed on so i pulled over switched the car off and on and the traction light stayed off so i turned the car off and did the pedal test and read the flashes - the code was 0100 which is Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction. I tried disconnecting the battery this morning and then did the pedal test again and the code was still there.. The lights have not been back on the car seems to drive ok but if the sensor is damaged wouldn't that case to much air to go in and then the car would compensate with more fuel which surely is not correct? i have had this new sensor on the car for 4 weeks why would it go so quick?

    cheers

Its not an air leak, as i checked every vac pipe for him the other day. The fact your running 238bhp and 278ftlb of torque with no mods maybe destroying your car mate. also as said on the phone the AFM's on the astras dont like the K&N filters that much as they are over oiled at the factory.

let me know when your free as i would be intrested to see what my fuel trims are like and to obviously clear the code.... if the MAF was destroyed would the lights not come on all the time though?
