Not sure how to go about getting new insurance..

As some of you know I lost my job a few months back, which means I had no cash, well turns out Ive been driving around for a week now without insurance as my insurer decided to cancel my policy when my direct debit bounced.

Done some looking around and the cheapest I can find is 2.5k

My old policy was 1.2k which I could afford. Rang my insurer (More Than) And they said they are not willing to reinstate my policy.

Just ranting really as I don't know what to do now, I was supposed to be going to work at a new job next week but I cant get there now, and I cant afford 230 odd quid a month insurance.

    /Slits wrists.

Sounds daft but you thought about removing your modifications back to standard, may drop your insurance price
Disclaimer - some of the above text may actually be sarcasm (believe it or not!)

Thats nuts, 2.0 sri mk4s are cheap as chips to insure, or were for me anyway I had one at 18 and I was paying like £800 f/c. Exhaust lowered and alloys shouldnt put more than a couple of hundred quid on it though... Have you had crashes? Try adrian flux if its the mods wackin it up!

I asked then what it would be if it were standard and they still said 2.3k
