    my vauxhall astra coupe

    hi there can any one help me and tell me whats up with my astra. It will only rev to 4 and a half thousand. thanks

    have you checked your oil levels at all?
    Sounds daft and silly might be why

    hi there i have checked oils and that everything fine. it is a 1.8 mk4 sri z18 one. and yeah the engine management light is on but when i put a computer in to read the faults it wont even power up the computer so i cant even find the problem there and when it get to 4k it just bogs out and i have to change gear its like its my limiter will not go any futher

    doesnt that mean its in limp mode??? can you not read the fault codes via the pedal test??

    yeah its in limp mode. when i plug it in it wont even turn the computer on i dont no how to test it any other way.

    Sit in car, press both brake and gas pedals down to floor. keep them there and turn ignition on to red.

    Engine light will start flashing with pauses between each number.

    10 flashes = 0
    2 flashes = 2
    4 flashes = 4
    1 flash = 1

    so the code is P0241

    which is Turbocharger Boost Sensor 2 Circuit Low Voltage

    But that's just an example!

    Try the pedal test and we'll tell you what the code is and work on it from there.

    what happens if no lights flash? or if you have more than 1 fault will the flashes keep happening until there is no more?
