    Machine polishing disappointment

I have bought this kit to do my coupe with.
    http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polish.../prod_520.html
It is the first time i have machine polished a car (had lots of experience with rotaries on GRP boats) and spent the day doing it and didnt even get it all done!!
The reason for my post, although its very shiny where i have done, it hasnt got rid of all the defects like i hoped it would.
    My process was
    wash with snow foam etc
    clay
    sfx1 pad and polish twice
    sfx2 pad and polish once
sfx4 pad and EZ creme glaze
    Jetseal 109

Looking last night under artificial light (street light) some of the deeper swirl marks are still there and some of the other light scratch marks.

I dont know if the products just dont have enough 'cut' or whether it could be my technique that hasnt been effective in getting the finish as good as i had hoped.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

maybe the product wasnt broken down properly. sonus isnt the most aggressive of products. it also depends on how deep they were before you started. Why not try 3m fastcut plus on a cutting pad (very aggressive combo) then finidh off with what you have already.

Check out the very good machine polishing guides on detailing world.

Agree with Ben on that you maybe have not worked the product long enough, or in enough times.

Machine polishing does'nt make it a one pass wonder solution, just makes repetitive processes easy....

i think the best thing to go by is the zeneth technique although i dont know if this will work with a DA i jsut know its the rotary way.
