    Keys and fobs

For some reason ever since i've had my car the fob has never lit up once,Not with a new battery or anything. But i want to sort it out now because people keep opening my boot via the key

So if i bought a new key off Ebay changed the key part and chip to my cars would i be able to programme it as mine?

Check the board inside the key.
They have a habit of them breaking the soldered connections of the battery holder, stopping them working.

The battery holder breaks off the pcb.

Have a look where the holder is soldered to the pcb and try and lift it slightly.

Do you solder between the battery holder and PCB?? If so its easy at one point but the other side is like near impossible lol.
