    new car to the fleet

Well after a long near on 4 hour journey there and 3 hour back! Its been a long afternoon picking up the new car. I have got to say a massive thanks to Brett for taking me over to get it, it was massive favor and I wont forget it! Cheers mate

The car (pics and details from the add):

2001 astra coupe with a private vxr plate
Europa Blue with front and rear irmscer splitters
85k on clock but just had a vxr engine fitted with 18k on clocks
    still on f23 box
    Running regal phase 2 software
    front decat,
cat back 3 inch bore bastuck exhaust which cost 560 from regal
large frount mount intercooler with roose hoses(2 weeks old)
    roose boost pipe
    forge dump valve
    1.9 airbox
    full leather
18 inch outlaw alloys with good tyres

I got it for £2700 from Tom and Mark at turbotomsautos

Its not totally my cup of tea and few things will need changing/removing but for the price I am happy. It drove ok on the way back until about a mile away from home when the engine management light came on Its bringing up P0170 - so could be AFM, O2 sensor etc but I am off to Regal tomorrow to give it the once over and sort any issues. 1 thing that needs attention is the front N/S Brake is squealing a little.

The exhaust and wheels will be up for sale very soon!

Once again huge thanks to Brett and nice to see Paul and Carl while we were over in the flatest part of the country (bbbbboooorrrrriiinnggggg!!! ).

Lastly massive thanks to Adrian Flux for cheap insurance on the car, I couldnt be bothered to ring around once I got the price. It was such late notice (5pm Thursday) to get it sorted for Friday, and the documents were all emailed to me at 9am this morning. Great service from them

Totally depends on the problems with M1GST, if that is running ok when I get it back next week then it may not be around all that long. If it isnt then it will be a car to hack about in when Sarah is using the Leon and I have had enough of the van, whilst M1GST is getting sorted out.

I take it this will be a mini project compared to M1GST, with subtle changes, maybe a euro look?

    EDIT: Too slow. Answered already

Always had a soft spot for a Coupe Turbo but I would need an operation to sew my jewels back on if I came home with one
