New car for 8k(with scrappage) that is an auto

    What are the choices?

A lady that works with me wants to trade in her MK3 VW Golf.

    Post your suggestions please.

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot.

You dont get a 1.0 Corsa Automatic. Only 1.2 Easytronic (best avoided) or 1.4 full auto.

automatic is the only thing here, there quite a few decent cars but they are all manual.

The Note and Micra do do an automatic gearbox. Peugeot 107 and the Toyota Aygo are in my opinion class leading superminis and do a 1.0 auto. Due to the small engines and auto gearbox's these cars will be absolutley dreadful to drive and will hold their value like a Christmas Pudding in January.

To be honest she would be better off buggering off scrappage part-exing or privatley selling her Golf and picking up something second hand with < 5,000 miles on it.
