    z20LET dumpvalve

    Hi,

Looking at getting a dumpvalve for my z20Let

I am looking at getting either a Collins or a Baileys DV26-D

I dont really want a loud dumpvalve so i am looking at leaving the standard one alone and running a second dumpvalve.

How is this done, i have found a guide through the search function but it includes removing the standard dumpvalve on the turbo and i would rather leave this alone to keep the noise down.

Also forgive me for being stupid but some of the threads i read have acronyms like PCM, BFS etc when installing a dumpvalve, jus wondered if there is a guide to install a it keeping the standard one.

I have found this kit on ebay but i have ordered a powerpipe with a dumpvalve take off so will not need the t piece, what bits will i need to install the dumpvalve.

    Cheers

    Nick

it is realy just a 20 min job to fit the dumpvalve if not less..... you say you got the power pipe with the dump valve take off all you will need it a silicone pipe to connect the take off and the dumpvalve. ( a couple of clips to hold in place will help). and then a vaccum pipe from the dump valve to the FPR ( fuel pressure regulator ) pipe. Put a T piece into the FPR pipe and just connect it up....seeeeemples.......hope it helps

the collins just aint a bit louder sounds zillion times better than a baileys, its proper dv sound, not like baileys strange noise, plus collins cheaper too and dont leak

A lot of people are now using the Collins over the Baileys, including myself. It is also cheaper.

As far as fitment, this should help...

I am current running both DV, but using a 1-way valve (£1.50 from Halfords), I can change to any of the setups shown.

    Hi m8

I had the same problem, which DV 2 get so I had a Baileys 1 1st. The sooner I had it on the car the quicker it packed up. The diaphram are 100% shit because the are made of rubber so they spilt easier.

Then I thought about the Collins DV. Best 1 ever!! They are spring loaded so they are must more durable. You cant go wrong. Paid £61.50 in p&p from matt lewis motorsport off ebay.

    Cheers
