    first mod done

    done my first mod today i fitted a precat pipe well happy with it

    well done chap, did you have any trouble getting the clip back on from the turbo to the pre cat? can be a bitch. how does it feel?

    Do it with 2 wheels parked on the kurb and crawl under car and look up. Only issue you have is getting the clamp on at the back of the turbo and pipe on correctly.

    Also bang aload of silicon between the flanges

    if you have used anything other than high-temp (500c+) sealant between the turbo & downpipe you may find it to start blowing in a few days when the sealant has burnt away, I had this problem until I used something more suitable at high temps.

    Nah mate. Gripfill was fine thats rated to 90C hasnt blown for over 5 months

    cheers mate no probs at all i done it at my work on the ramp never used any seal at all.i can deff fell the difference

    i did mine on my car friday been out in the car a few times this weekend cant really tell the difference

    noticed a bit of difference when i had mine done, defo a required mod in prep for a remap!!! made the fricken exhaust louder though! was already too bloody loud as it was!!! :-o
    !Astra Coupe Turbo!
