Like Kev says. We fitted mine and its fine.

We tried to setup the camber and everything the best we could using a spirit level against the brake disks.

Did you fit the original ½nut between the top mount and the top hat? It looks like it's a full nut from the piccy.

The pulling will be because the tracking needs doing

    from the top downwards...

    full nut
    inverted top hat
    ½ nut
    top mount
    shock et5c

The thickness of the nut pth of the nut between the top mount and top hast governes the ditance the top hat stick up.

The only other thing that can make the top hat stand proud in because the op hat has become slightly deformed (dished upwards)through usage and it's not been put back in the same place as it was before it was taken apart.

You dont need spring compressors to fix that.

All you need to do is (WITH THE THE CAR ON THE GROUND) Undo the top nut and take it of, then list top hat of then undo next nut. Then refit with the slimnut first as ffoeg has said.

If you've got a swan neck spanner (or other tools) that will reach both nuts, then there no need for spring compressers - you can do it all in situ... just don't jack the car up!!! The wieght of the car will hold everything in place, and keep the spring compressed, while you do the biz

undo top nut, remove top hat, undo other nut and assemble in the correct order.

it's safe to drive as it is.. just don't take any hump back bridges at speed
