    Back 2 red???? NOT PINK!!!!

    Hi guys,

I'm wondering if you'll help me, i recently got a red astra mk4 and i noticed that in various places the paintwork is fading to a light pink.
I got some red T-Cut and i'vedone the whole car twice now and the paintwork still looks pink.
I was just wondering if anyone recommends anything to bring it back up to the nice red that it used to be,

    Thanks

    Hi DamoG.

I did a Zafira that had faded pretty bad from red to pink. We used Autoglym Paint Renovator and did it by had. It took a while but came up fine. We polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish and finished off with some Collinite 476s wax for final protection.

As I mentioned we did this by hand. You could use a polishing machine for easier / better results perhaps but I don't have any experience of these.

The only thing I would add is that I found the paint renovator fairly aggresive (I suppose it has to be to do what it says on the tin!) so my only advice would be go easy with the renovator to start with - but you'll soon get used to it.

Don't forget to put up some piccys of your work, pre and post process.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.
