    Newbie with a speedo problem

    Hi guys,

My first post and it is to ask for help
Hopefully someone on here may be able to give me some advice.

I have a T reg MK4 Astravan and I have a problem with the speedo cluster.
Everything on the cluster works except for the lighting that lights the speedo at night.

I have removed the speedo from the car and checked all the bulbs and they all work fine, so its not a blown cluster bulb.

I have tried a new light switch in the drivers side vent area and this didn' help either.

I am thinking about buying a new speedo cluster as I thought that maybe there is a problem with the circuit board maybe.

Would the SXI speedo or Cab speedo work in a van as if I am to chanfge it over I may as well get a nicer looking speedo unit.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers

Welcome to AOC Nick. Can't help with your problems, but clusters are interchangeable. If your van is petrol, any petrol cluster should be ok.

    Welcome mate

is it just the speedo or all the heater dials too? If so check the fuses, number 18 is the one that controls it I think
