    fitting turbo.....ouch my knuckles

    ouch i must have gouged ever knuckle fitting my new upgraded turbo.........
    i removed radiator to make life easier but still managed to bleed loads...
    anyways the turbos on but ive realised i should have probs fitted my new front bcs and pipe before i put it on......as its a bugger trying to get the vac tube around the backside of the turbo on now.....
    also i tried connecting my new oil drain pipe to the block and its a nightmare....it wont line up straight enuff to start threading on....i no i need to prime the turbo with the oil drain pipe off but..thought id try to make sure it all fitted anyway....
    anyone got any tips for getting this to seat properly so it will thread??

    brute force and jiggery pokery and it will fit mate.

    If you were near me id help....

    As for the oil bolt into the head i had the same problem lol, i eventually did it! Im sure i loostened the other side which goes onto the bottom of the turbo???

    Just takes a lot and i mean a lot of patience!

    The satisfaction once done and you start her up is amazing,

    Thats why ive not taken mine off fella to do the manifold stud its a right pain..
    Vxr turbo with 360 bearing and twin oils seals & Evoms dv. Cdti airbox 63mm tophat.Milltex cat back and pre cat.. Regal 245 leh phase 1 ipf remap.Whiteline rarb.

    i was sailing along at one stage...thinking whats all this fuss about...
    nothing to it really! well apart from sore knuckles.....
    then right at the end .........the hardest part.....getting the bloody oil drain on to the block......will give it another go today

    Its a pig of a job that for sure i just hope you dont get a leaking bolt from the join from the turbo to the manifold like i do mate.
