    Removing Airtemp sensor probe?

    Afternoon all

Does anyone have any idea how you remove the air temp sensor out of the induction pipe on a 1.4 16v astra mk4? it seems to be just popped in, you can spin it around but It seems to be very snuggly in there!

yes it is a very tight fit and with lots of gentle prising it will come out. it is also a nightmare to get back in and needs a smear of washing up liquid and gentle prising with a small flat blade screwdriver. they are actually supplied already within the pipe at Vauxhall parts should the sensor fail, as they are pressed in the factory. the pipe with sensor is around £16

Thanks very much mate At first I thought it was in there for good!

So just wiggle and poke with a screwdriver and it will eventually come out?

Well once it's out it won't be going back in the same place mate, it's going onto the side of my airbox when I stick my new manifold on, I may well go to the scrappers and get a spare pipe.

    Cheers again
