    Question vxr turbo oil feed restricter

    hi all
    i have just bought a vxr turbo for my zaf gsi , i have herd alot of talk about the pressures being diferent and should install a oil restrictor to the feed pipe
    please can somone tell me where to get this , and do i realy need it as running standard car.

    ive heard alot about this too but shurely if thats the case vx would have made a mod for this just like the cooling mod

    why should they? fitting a vxr turbo to a zlet isn't a vauxhall thing really so they won't do anything about it. i need this mod myself, so if anyone has any info on it, its defo not going to waste.

    I want to make my own but dont know the type of insert or hole diamiter I need like the guy off vxr online. I'm sure I could buy a load of new oil feed bolts from vx and make them up at a cheaper cost, but i don't have enough info yet.

    im very sure that with some good guessing you can work out how big that hole is, by removing your standard bolt and looking closely at the picture you can figure out the size of that hole.

    all your doing is starving it of oil there is hardly any pressure there to start off with as it is not on the pressure side of the oil pump

    i have a spare bolt i was going to get my mate to make me an insert for.

    might be best getting the bolt from thr guy on vxronline and measure what he has done first. his are £19 delivered, think his username is percy

    wot your actually doing is causing a jet of oil into the bearing think about it its the same as a washer jet same pressure through a small hole there fore a jet

    what need to no is do i need one,
    surley it will still run at the same pressureas before but take longer to reach the pressure
