    Slight problem with my raceland coilovers...

    The car had been making a nice clunking noise and feeling quite sketchy at speeds on bumpy roads and because Id just changed a drop link I thought that must have been the problem. Turns out I was wrong lol. I took the coilover out and the thing fell to bits. The damper has come out of the thing and basically its nackered;

    Does anyone have the email address of the seller so I can get it sent back for a new one? Ive only had them 6 months so needless to say Im quite pissed off that its nackered
    It would definitely go better with an engine in it

    I've not got the Email address for the seller, but hopefully it is just a one off fault, as quite a few members including myself run these.

    Mine are also very 'clunky' and the threads on one of them have twisted so i can only go up to a certain height. I'm not sure what to do with them. After reading your post i really don't want to take them apart lol. I guess 'you get what you pay for' comes to mind. I wouldn't recommend them.

    I emailed the guy after I found the old thread about them. He said that there was a screw thread that holds the damper bit in the cup that might have come unscrewed. Turns it had and now thats tightened up its spot on with no clunks or knocks. I took the other one off and checked it to see how it was and that one was uber tight. To be safe its had some thread lock put on so it wont come lose again. He also said if there was any more problems or I still wasnt happy send them back. I would have just sent them back and not arsed fixing it if there wasnt a 2 week turn around - I cant be without the car for 2 weeks so the fixedness is fine.
    It would definitely go better with an engine in it
