It might be a good idea to use the excellent search button provided.

The easiest way to do it is hit the scrapyards & get a boot latch off a Daewoo Nexia (Mk2 Astra clone) the follow these instructions.

the boot popper is easy to install, theres plenty of places to put it, like sq man said you will need to single latch boot lock from a nexia. any probs give us a pm because iv done this, theres also a section of how it was done on my auto-biography mate

A kind of related question here..

I heard that if doors and boots are smoothed it's an MOT fail as there needs to be at least one handle?

I ask because my mate bought a golf and had planned to smooth it all out, but found out that he needed one mechanical latch for it to pass a MOT, so he smoothed everything but left the handle on the boot as it's a 5 door, so the boot counts. But I want to buy a coupe and smooth it but that's a two door so wondering would it pass an MOT. Cheers anyway.
