My kitties are with Petplan - you just have to be mindful of the annual vet fees as some insurance companies just give you a restricted amount for the life of the pet. For example I could claim up to £4k a year against vet fees for my cat whereas some companies will just reimburse you £4k against vet fees for the life of the puppy.

I have always used marks and spencers, they pay out claims very quick and always been really helpful

Same here, I was with Tescos, but they put the premiums up too much for my liking, and I would have been paying about £80 for the staffords and Tarka (RIP), so gave Direct Line a ring, and it ended up half what Tescos quoted me.

I now pay £44.44 a month, for the two staffs, and a whopping giant sized pup (all three dogs for that price) with a £60 excess, limit to £4k vet fees per illness

I am wiht direct line atm but will be changing to a life policy when the current one runs out.

i found direct line a pain to claim with, and will go as far as poss to get out of paying out. More than any other insurance company i have ever used.

we've been with Petplan for Buster, our white staffie, paying £16pm for the last 3 years... Just taken out insurance for our black staffie Lily though, and Tesco quoted us £14pm to insure them BOTH, with quite literally identical levels of cover. needless to say we switched.

can't beleive how much some people are paying... anyway, IMO steer clear of petplan - they're pricey.
