    PC problem/help

Ok, have been upgrading the RAM in a load of our PC;s over the last few days. Been pretty much straight forward just the odd hicup here and there for the last 6, however No.7 is proving to be a pain in the arse.

Swapped out the RAM as Ive done on all the previous ones, and swapped the new RAM in. (Ive also been taking the opportunity to give the insides a quick clean out as they are 4 years old and never been done so needless to say they are a tad minging. Ive only been using cans of compressed air to blast them out.

Stuck #7 back together and it wont power up. Took the ram back out gave the slots a good blast out with air to make sure no shite had made its way in. But still nothing. Checked all the connections etc. Still nothing. Done this several times but nothing (now the motherboard is getting power as with the power cable connected there is a small green light coming on). Randomly after another check of the connections it powered up. Super, turned it off, put the cover back on and took it to the desk where it is used. Connected it back up and nothing, had another check off everything and all seems connected fine etc. but just wont fire up.

    Anyone any ideas???

Its not firing up at all. The one time it did fire up it did so as normal. However now when you press the on/off switch theres nothing, no fans starting up, just a large portion of deadness.

Unplug the HDD and floppy (if it has one) so that only the motherboard has power going to it. Do you get the BIOS screen or any POST beeps?

I thought we'd sorted all this yesterday, sorry

Different PC bud, got the other one sorted and its working fine, some dirt had got into the RAM slots on that one.

No chance of getting the BIOS screen as nothing happens when you push the power button, as in its like trying to turn it on when its unplugged.

Stupid question - have you tried keeping the power button pushed in/on for a few seconds? Some of the AT PSU's are weird and if they've been switched on and off quite a bit will refuse to power up unless you keep the power button pressed for 5+ seconds.
