    Question Spraying reflective parts on Headlights help!!!!!

    As I have seen on arnienemo's bio. Just wondered if someone can give me a bit more of a detailed how to on opening headlights, and the heating up and re fitting. Cheers guys

    Put them in the oven on a low heat so the black glue softens then pull them apart.

    Oven 70 degrees for 5 minutes, silicone becomes supple, lift off tabs and pull the lens off that simple...

    ok i now understand that does then the reflector jst pull out simply or is that fastened down and once opened what do i use toseal them up again just all purpose silicone???? Cheers

    Just slides out mate, there are kind of guide pins on the chrome insert to make it sit straight

    As for resealing if you didnt get too excited when taking them apart you can just reheat the cluster up again and push it back on, what I did anyway and never get any moisture ingress

    Hi mate arnienemo how long did it take you to complete one headlight. Thats removing the case painting and refitting???? Did you have any probs resealing the headlight. Any tips you could give.

    45 mins or so, but you dont have to do much.

    heat up - 15 mins

    pull apart and spray - 15 minutes (i used paint that dries quickly)

    put back together and put back in the oven to reseal the glue - 15 mins

    it IS as simple as that
