    19 year old Toyota MR2 V's The Dreaded MOT

    The mr2 win's

    Well it passed and at the first time of asking

    3 little advisory notes though:

    Offside rear shock has a light misting of oil???
    Offside rear brake disc slightly pitted???
    Front brake stone guards corroded???

    Any advise on the above?

    Cannot belive my 19 year old car only cost me £40 for another years ticket!

    Good stuff, just had my coupe mot'd today and it passed for the third year pay's off when you look after your cars .

    Shock has a very slight leak. Might need replaing before next MOT

    Offside rear brake disc slightly pitted???

    There are a few marks on disk not a biggy

    Front brake stone guards corroded???

    Metal plate behind disk rusty dont worry about it

    I do a few in it to be fair, work and back every day plus Stoke to Stafford and back a few times a week to, its a good car, its strange how solid everything is for its age!

    Oh ok normally you only get pitted disks with a car that does not do many miles.

    Strange, the rear caliper did stick for a bit on the pitted disc, well untill the caliper was replaced, i think that may have something to do with it?
