    Question regarding speeding offences

Hi peeps, was just having a conversation with a mate of mine. Basically she got caught doing 49 in a 40 by a speed camera and she was offered either 3 points or the speed awareness course and she opted for the course She says she wont have to declare this to her insurance on the next policy, but I thought she would because despite the fact that she didnt get the points, she still committed an offence.

Can someone enlighten me, as although I'm not sure if i'm right, it seems logical that she would still have to declare. Any thoughts?

If she has not had an endorsement put on her license she can't give her insurance company an offence code.

Doesnt have to declare it, thats why it exists as a kind of 'final warning'

this is recorded with the police for 3 years ,, and if you get caught speeding again in that time the police WILL take into account the fact you went on the course for speeding ..
and you only get one chance to go on the course in that 3 year period...and no insurance companies dont have to be informed...thay also do a similar course for driving without due care and attention... for you to avoid points and fine...and the same applies about not informing your insurance company too..

    Also, all is never lost...

For the standard SP30 endorsement, most insurance companies note them but do not take them into consideration when calculating your premium.
    I had two SP30 endorsements - one for doing 77 in a 70 zone and one for doing 36 in a 30.
Quinn Direct told me they were inconsequential. Nice.
