I am currently with Quinn Direct Insurance.
I am quite happy with them as there is no cause for complaint.
However, recently I told them I would like to re-map my engine, so could they give me a new quote.
The advisor put me on hold and then after chatting to a supervisor said that she'd have to send me out an "Engineer's Report Form" to fill in.
I received the said form in the post the other day.
Apparently I have to get an "approved" engineer/mechanic/garage to do a once over on my engine and then get them to explain in writing what a re-map is. Then I have to send this explanation to Quinn so that they re-do me a quote based on the engineers report.
Lord have mercy! Why can't companies like Quinn (who are well-established) just quote me based on the expected bhp increase due to a remap? It's not that hard is it?
Any else had similar probs? Or just general advice?
