Since I had the flooring done in my lounge/dining room changed, I moved the fish tank so its used as a divider of sorts between the open plan room, with a 2 seater sofa protecting the tank from the lounge side of the room (if that makes sense). Anyway, Hope loves standing on the sofa looking at all the fish, and spotting the baby ones swimming around.
Today, she told me that the fishies were wet, so I told her, thats fine, they are supposed to be seeing as they are in water. A bit later, she was up there again, and she said that mummy's bone (phone) was wet..so I said no its not, its on the table...Oh, no it wasn't, there it was, sat at the bottom of the fish tank where she had helpfully posted it through the hole where the light/heater cables run.
So I now have a foobarred mobile, which, as luck would have it, has ALL of my contact numbers stored on it, as Vodafone kindly sent me a new sim to try, so I had moved all my contacts from my old sim, onto the phone until the new sim arrived.
Phone is now currently sat in the airing cupboard drying out, I didn't try to turn it on as I have read in the past that doing that totally knackers the mobile.
Fingers crossed please everybody that it works after its drying out session, but tbh, I think being immersed in 2 ft deep water for a few mins wouldn't have done it much good.
And a meanie that I am, her pink teddy went for a dip after I fished the phone out, so hopefully she might learn that putting things in the tank isn't a good idea.
