If you like driving don't go for that horrible tip-tronic box, get a nice manual import. The tipper takes about 2 seconds longer to sixty.
Otherwise, yeah i've got a bit of a soft spot for them and they are alot of car for the money.

my friend had a 2.0 litre automatic, my 2.0litre pug 306 xsi pissed all over it BUT, that fto went to poland and back at least 12 times on its original cambelt at 128,000 on the clock!! thing was a ledgend, irony was i told him to go to the garage before he went on his last trip to poland as his cambelt was squeeking like a mouse getting arse *****, but feeling confident he went anyway, low and behold his cambelt snapped in belgium on the return journey so instead of using his international breakdown he just left it there!!

my advice, go for it! if you can afford it get the gpx, else just get the standard 3 litre, as shane 16v says there a lot of car for your money, cheap, fast and most importantly reliable! only downside is the panels are like tin cans, whenever you close the boot for example, it sounds like you've just slammed a metro into a tree!

I quite like them, very underrated imo, there not the quickest of things for a fairly big engine but you've got the jap reliability and they do look a lot sleeker than the money they go for. If you don't no what they are itsthe type of cars you'd stop and stare at.

i loved my old one. i had a gpx but with the tiptronic box. its to slow to change which is the reason i got rid.

great looks and awesome sound. parts are expensive but as its only availble as an import what do you expect.

check your insurance quote first, imports can be a bit steep.

Nah st24s are slower than the gpx danny

    Mondeo - 0-60 just under 8 secs

FTO GPX manual 0-60 just under 7 secs

But agreed parts for the mondeo would be cheaper
