    alarm key

    just took the battery out to replace it and now my factory alarm fob wont turn the alarm off. what do i do?

    Whats set the alarm off or do you mean it won't open the doors off the button?

    If the latter lock doors with the key, open em, get in, close door, turn ignition to position 2 without starting the engine and press one of the buttons on the key till the doors lock and unlock, job done.

    its the latter and i tried this the same as what the manual said! still no use

    Strange, do you get any reaction from the car at all? And does the led on the fob light up when you press a button? Sometimes the battery holder connection becomes loose, try wedging some paper between the fob casing and the battery bit to press it down when its together, even if the fob led comes on this sometimes helps. If none of that works can you get access to tech2 or op com?

    no reaction mate led lights never worked. all was fine earlier

    What car is this? The Astra G keys are pretty cr@p...

    Tried starting the car? Normally shuts mine up when the remote locking on the key stops working and I open the door with the key in the lock.

    if no led on the key no power try putting 1. the old battary in it or 2. a bit of card in the back of they key behind the battary.
