Headlight level dial - should both lights move?

If I alter the headlight level dial inside the car near the headlight switch should I expect both headlights to move position? Only my passenger side headlight tilts and not the drivers side - if both should move but only one does, would this be an MOT failure?

Yes they both move and when they do the MOT they will set it to '0' to do the test

Okies, so it is at zero by default so aside from checking the level it won't fail then? Must have got the drivers side motor connection wrong when the headlights were fitted.

Aslong as they are aligned when at '0' they will be fine.

I think they're aligned OK, the beam pattern on the shed I face when parking is very similar to my old lights.

try getting a mate to stand with his ear against the light that doesnt work, move the dial from 0 to max. if he can hear the motor wurring it may just need clipping back in (or the worst case its snapped and needs replacing), if its not making a noise you may need to replace the motor, but check the plug in the back first, may have come loose as everyones saying if its level, its not really a problem. if you need to tow a caravan on the other hand id avise to stay off our roads and keep them clear of caravans lol
