I was amazed only one of the rear foglights is wired up in the Astra H. What I intend to do is simply use a relay and a fuse to switch the second one on. The live for the relay coil will be from the existing foglight, the earth to the REC and live to power the bulb via a fuse and the relay contacts from the REC.
I have not studied the REC yet, does it have a live running across it that fuses and relays can be connected to? It would look much neater if I could use part of it to plug a relay and fuse in to and then add a new wire or two going to both bulbs. If not I will just pick up the 12v, earth and two cables to the foglights and after heatshrinking everything, just throw it behind the flap in the boot.
Has anyone done it yet? A relay, fuse and couple of connectors and bits of wire will not cost much.
I must study a REC and see if the installation can be simplified.
